Bethlehem, Pa. – Keystone College's men's track & field team wrapped up indoor competition for the semester on Friday and Saturday at the Lehigh University Fast Times Before Finals Meet. The Giants totaled eight top-25 finishes in the field that featured programs from all three NCAA divisions.
Carl Joseph (Hillside, N.J./Hillside) brought home a 12
th place result in the 500 meter run with a time of 1:08.80. Joseph went on to finish 22
nd in the 200 meter dash after crossing the stripe in 23.74 seconds, just ahead of
Yaw Acheampong (Bronx, N.Y./Bronx Health Sciences) who placed 25
th in the race.
The Giants placed a pair of runners in the top-25 of the 60 meter dash prelims with Acheampong coming in 18
th place with a time of 7.29 seconds while
Terry Duncan (South Jamaica, N.Y./Monticello) followed in 23
rd place.
In the 1000 meter run,
JT Colapietro (South Plainfield, N.J./South Plainfield) placed 21
st with a time of 3:10.23 while
Grant Doss (Milford, Pa./Delaware Valley) placed 24
th in the race.
In the weight throw competition,
Obinna Azonobi () placed 25
th with a toss of 33' 1.75" while
Casey Montaro () followed in 27
th place in the event. Azonobi added a 30
th place result in the shot put with a throw of 29' 2.75".
Keystone will be idle until Saturday, January 27 when it competes in the Cornell University Invitational in Ithaca, New York.
