LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College baseball team announced their schedule for the 2024 season. The team finished last year with a 30-14 overall record (17-1 in conference play) and captured their 18th straight conference championship.
Keystone begins their season down in Myrtle Beach, S.C. with the Cal Ripken Experience. The team will square off with Hanover & Bridgewater on Feb. 29, a doubleheader with SUNY Brockport on Mar. 1, and Manchester on Mar. 2.
The team will then prepare for their spring break trip down in Florida as they take part in the annual RussMatt Invitational. Keystone will face Utica (Mar. 9), Widener & Lakeland (Mar.10), Pitt.-Greensburg (Mar. 11), Rutgers-Newark (Mar. 14), Ripon (Mar. 15), and Gwynedd Mercy & Muhlenberg (Mar. 16).
The Giants return back to Pennsylvania as they head to Susquehanna on Mar. 20. Keystone opens United East Conference play at Cairn on Mar. 22 before hosting the Highlanders in a doubleheader on Mar. 23 in the team's home opener.
Keystone will host two straight home games against William Paterson (Mar. 26) and a United East bout with Clarks Summit the following day. They head to Valley Forge on Mar. 28 and will wrap up the three-game series on Mar. 29 with a doubleheader at home.
The month of April kicks off with the conclusion of a three-game series at Clarks Summit on Apr. 2 followed by hosting a doubleheader with Penn State Harrisburg on Apr. 6.
A three-game road trip awaits Keystone as they head to Scranton (Apr. 7), Rutgers-Camden (Apr. 9), and Wilson (Apr. 12). The Giants then will face Wilson in a doubleheader the next day at Christy Mathewson Field.
Keystone will be on the road with matchups with SUNY Cobleskill on Apr. 17 and St. Elizabeth Apr. 19 before returning home to wrap up the three-game series on Apr. 20.
The Giants remain home when they welcome Misericordia on Apr. 24 and Rosemont on Apr. 26. Keystone then will travel to Rosemont to complete the series on Apr. 27.
The 2024 regular season will end as Keystone hosts Alvernia on Apr. 30, and head to Aston, PA to battle Neumann on May 1.
The United East Conference Championship begins with the Skye Division Tournament from May 3-5. The champion of the Skye Division will face the winner of Volt Division in the championship series beginning May 10.Â
