Fredo Selected as Vice-Chair for United East SAAC

LATHAM, N.Y.- Keystone rising senior Cassidy Fredo (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills) was selected as Vice-chair for the United East SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) announced by the conference Wednesday morning.

The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) represents the Division III student-athlete voice in the Division III governance structure by reviewing legislation; identifying significant student-athlete issues; implementing national student-athlete based initiatives; encouraging community outreach; and enhancing Division III student-athlete involvement in and understanding of Division III in general.

"I'm super excited to be a part of United East SAAC next year and to serve as Vice Chair. It's a chance to connect with new faces across the conference, each bringing their own unique perspective. Being a part of this community means fostering collaboration and growth, and I can't wait to see the positive impact we'll create together," Fredo stated.

Fredo is a defensive specialist and captain for the women's volleyball program, pursuing a degree in sports and recreation management. In addition to her duties as an athlete, Fredo also serves as the president of Keystone's campus SAAC. Thus far as a member of her campus SAAC, Fredo has led initiatives ranging from volunteering at the Saint Francis Soup Kitchen, partnering with Catherine McAuely Canter gifting Christmas gifts to kids, and supporting the Saint Joseph's Baby Center.

In addition, she holds leadership positions around the community such as special event planner for the student government and serving as a marketing and event intern for Sodexo. Fredo continues to balance her athletic commitment earning weekly honor on multiple occasions.

Nathan Whisman, a member of the the University of Valley Forge men's basketball and volleyball team, was chosen as Chair for United East SAAC.
