Women’s Basketball Picked Tenth in Preseason Poll

LATHAM, N.Y.- The Keystone College women's basketball team were picked tenth in the United East Preseason Poll, announced Wednesday morning.

2024-25 runner up, St. Mary's College of Maryland finished first with five first place votes. Penn State Abington was selected second with five first place votes. The defending conference champion Gallaudet University earned a third-place spot with three first place votes. Penn State Harrisburg placed fourth with one first place vote.

Penn College, Notre Dame of Maryland, Wilson, Lancaster Bible, and Cedar Crest were chosen fifth through ninth, respectively.

Keystone was selected tenth followed by Penn State Berks in eleventh. Penn State Brandywine, Cairn, and Valley Forge close out the poll.

The United East Championship will see 10 teams earn a spot in the postseason with the first round commencing on Feb. 18. The quarterfinal round is slated for Feb. 21 and the semifinal will take place on Feb. 24. The top two teams remaining will play in the conference title game on Feb. 28.

Ben Arsenault '12 returns to his alma mater to take over as the head coach of the women's basketball program.

The Giants open the 2025-26 season this Saturday, Nov. 9 as they host Haverford College at 2 p.m. Keystone begins United East Conference play at Cairn University on Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m.
