LATHAM, N.Y.- Keystone College men's soccer player Kolten McVean (Dickinson, Tex./Dickinson) was named United East Defensive Player of the Week Monday afternoon.
McVean made 19 saves and allowed three goals in a 1-1-0 week for the Giants. The freshman goalkeeper made nine saves in a 3-1 win over Washington Adventist. He'd then add nine saves in a narrow 2-1 defeat at SUNY Cobleskill. The Texas native tallied a .864 save percentage in these two matches.
This is McVean's first career defensive player of the week award.
Keystone (2-5) faces The College of New Jersey on the road, Wednesday afternoon.
