LA PLUME, PA – Keystone College Director of Athletics Kacy Manning has announced the hiring of Milana Straub as the next Head Coach of the Giants men's and women's cross country programs.

Straub arrives at Keystone following an accomplished collegiate career at Marywood University, where she excelled both in the classroom and in competition. She earned her bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting in 2025 and is scheduled to complete her master's degree in August 2026. Throughout her collegiate career, she was a Dean's List student every semester while also minoring in forensic accounting and studying English literature.

"One of the things that stood out to me most about Lany wasn't just everything she accomplished as a student-athlete, but the way her former coach described her. She told me Lany gave 100 percent in everything she did and was one of the best captains that she had ever had.", stated Director of Athletics, Kacy Manning. "That kind of praise reflects Lany's character and leadership. Having competed in field hockey, cross country, and track while earning numerous academic honors, she understands firsthand what it means to be a true student-athlete."

A standout distance runner, Straub established herself as one of the top student-athletes in the Atlantic East Conference during her time at Marywood. She earned seven individual school records, set conference records, qualified individually for the NCAA Championships, and was named the 2024 Atlantic East Conference Track Runner of the Year. Before returning to Marywood, Straub also competed at the NCAA Division I level during a stint at Kent State University.

"I accepted this position because I have so much passion and love for the sport that I could not fit into just my four years of athletic eligibility," said Straub. "I gained so much knowledge and experience as a student-athlete, and I am ready to use that to help develop younger athletes' introspection, confidence, and ability."

In addition to her success on the track and cross country course, Straub was also a standout field hockey student-athlete. She helped lead the Pacers to back-to-back Atlantic East Conference championships and consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances while serving as team captain during her final season. Her accomplishments earned her numerous honors, including First Team All-Region in Cross Country, Marywood's Female Athlete of the Year, Senior Student-Athlete of the Year, and induction into both Delta Mu Delta International Business Honor Society and Chi Sigma Chi Athletic Honor Society.

Manning continued, "She [Lany] knows what it takes to balance the demands of academics, multiple sports, and leadership at a high level, and she will bring that perspective to our program every day. I am excited to welcome Lany to Keystone and can not wait to see the impact that she will have on our student-athletes and particularly the cross country programs."

Away from athletics, Straub gained valuable professional experience through positions with the NEPA Alliance and the Marywood Pacer Financial Fund, where she developed strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills while working in accounting, finance, and investment management. She also completed numerous professional certifications in data analytics, artificial intelligence, and financial analysis, demonstrating her commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
